Product Description What are they? A porcelain heating device that screws into a standard porcelain incandescent socket What do they do? Heat emitters give off intense infrared heat, penetrating into the animals muscles, but emit no light! The perfect 24 hour heat source for all tropical and desert reptiles. Why is the Zoo Med emitter best? Our flat faced design (standard in the ceramic heat industry) is more efficient than conical designs in that it leaves less heat inside the emitter which will ultimately carbonize the element. Our emitters last up to 5 years, which is twice as long as the competition! They keep on going, and going and going... Water resistant! Perfect for high humidity terrariums! Great heat source for a Zoo Med IguanArium and other wire or screen type enclosures. Great for use with our Repti Temp Thermostat or a Rheostats! The ONLY UL/CUL listed Ceramic Heat Emitter!!Use in clamp lamps other than Zoo Meds Repti Porcelain Clamp Lamp voids guarantees.

| Customer Reviews: zoomed heat emitter August 16, 2010 Roger J. Martinez (CA USA) this product is very godd one for the reptiles during cold weather and the night time when it is cold and they do not need night light nor bright lights.
Impressed June 25, 2010 Susan I have been using this on my lizard for months, and it works great. Spot (Leopard Gecko) is happy with it too.

I like using this type of heat for my Bearded Dragon and Uromastyx. This bulb gives off radiant heat without the usual red glow of other heat bulbs. I will be purchasing again from this seller in the near future.

Very good heater. We use it for our Outside pet birds during the winter and they always bundle up next to it. Delivers plenty of Heat without any problems so Far, but I've read that unscrewing and re-screwing it too many times can ruin them. I suggest using them in the Holder below, as that will funnel the heat towards your target pet.
