The best anti-chew cage September 6, 2010 HelveyK I was having a problem with my pet rats because they were chewing through their first cage and escaping so I started my hunt for a new non-chewable cage. It has worked out great. I enjoy knowing that they are safe in their cage and they have more than enough room to run and play. I would recommend to any rat or ferret owner. This met and exceeded all my expectations, just make sure when purchasing you are mindful of the dimensions of the cage, it is very large.
WARNING July 23, 2010 Dyskresiac Ferret Nation Habitat is the best cage you can buy for ferrets. It's sturdy, easy to clean, very roomy, and can fit a lot of toys or runts.
There is one VERY VERY important thing everyone should consider before buying this product though. Even though the bars are mostly vertical, very few athletic ferrets are capable of climbing the outside of the cage and onto the top. I lost a ferret to a ferret bravado fueled leap off the top.
So be careful, as with any large cage. It's a small, important, caveat to an amazing cage. You will not regret buying it. Just be careful.
Almost perfect. June 24, 2010 Lara (Maryland, United States) I read the reviews on here but I still bought it and I still love it. I haven't had any incidents with ferrets getting hurt but apparently I have weird fuzz butts! My male is very timid about the ladders/ramps and is very hesitant to use them. It's almost as if he doesn't know what they're for. Now my female she knows how to use them and what they're for but she's so stubborn and used to her old cage and will just climb on the cage and pull herself up onto the shelf. I'm sure they'll get used to it. I'll probably make some kind of covers. I love the cage though! If they sold it with ramp/floor/shelf covers it would be perfect.
Best Money I Spent June 17, 2010 C. Guadalupe (Beacon, New York USA) This is the best Ferret cage there is. I did my research and found that if you want the best this is the best investment. Best Price & Shipping for the cage also. Many reviews complaint was that putting it together was difficult but i found it rather easily. You do need a 2nd person to help at certain points to hold while one screws and hold other side panels but other than that it wasn't hard. I do recommend that you cover all shelves and ramps because their little feet can get caught and an accident will happen. I easily bought quilted fabric and velcroed it on the bottom and that worked great.
Best Rat Cage EVER!!! May 28, 2010 Katrina K. Oberhelman (Florida) I know this is a ferret cage, but I know many people that use it for their pet rats. For boy rats it is the perfect size, but I've read that the bars are too wide for girls. That being said, I LOVE this cage. My old cage took me almost 4 hours to clean each week. This one literally takes me 45 minutes. I put them all on the top and block it off, clean the bottom, move them to the bottom and clean the top. So easy! It's well ventilated and gives them so much space to play. I can put large box towers in there, bowls of water for them to swim in or pea dive, hammocks everywhere, and large litter boxes. This is by far the best cage I've ever owned. The size was a bit intimidating at first. I have it in my bedroom and had to get used to it, but it doesn't bother me now. I had to take them out all the time to play with them because they would get bored in their smaller cages. Now... ? Half of the time they don't even care that I've opened the doors! They have so much room and so much to do. Plenty big enough for a maximum of 10 rats, but I only have 3 in mine! Spoiled and they love it!!! I spend so much more time with them too because I can just open up the door and get to them easily. Best. Cage. Evar. :)
